Dear Potential Camp Staffer,

Are you interested in making a difference this summer? Do you want to be a part of an amazing camp staff? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then I ask you to consider making a commitment to be on staff at the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind. I am in the process of collecting application now through March 31st, 2011. The quicker you get your application in, the better. This is a neat opportunity to invest your life in other people. 12 years ago I walked on to campground for the first time as a staffer; after one summer, I was hooked. I believe that we have one of the greatest platforms to promote empowerment and change; therefore I take this task of choosing staff very seriously. I will let you know if you will be extended an invitation to serve on staff as soon after the January deadline as I can.

Here are the dates that you would potentially be working if chosen for this summer:

Returning Staffers – June 2

SALT Training – June 3-12

Session 1 - June 12-18

Session 2 – June 20-25

Session 3 – June 27-July 3

Session 4 – July 9-15

Session 5 – July 18-29

We would then clean up the camp on the 30 th and 31 st and at some point in those two days have a staff banquet. Some of the weekends you will have the option to go home, but others you won’t and you will be informed which ones are mandatory once the scheduling is complete.

I am excited about this coming summer and all the fun it holds. It is my intent to flip some things around and do things that have never been done before. So I ask this simple question: “Want to join me?” If yes, then send in your application as quickly as possible. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at GLCFTB@Bellsouth.Net . Click Here for Applications. Thanks again for your consideration.

Carpe Diem,

Kristen Robinson
