OUR MISSION TO OUR CAMPERS:
To enhance the campers physically, mentally, and socially through the use of recreation, education, socialization and rehabilitation programs in a year-round setting. Programs stress personal motivation, self-confidence, leadership and self-reliance in a fun-filler outdoor atmosphere.
A visual loss of 20/70 or greater in their best eye with correction: or be a sibling, of an eligible camper. They must also display independent skills in feeding, dressing and taking care of their personal hygiene.
LOCATION OF PROGRAM:
The Georgia Lions' Camp is located 12 miles southeast of Waycross, GA on GA Route 177, just off US 82. (You will find google maps on the Parents Information page).
Youth (6 - 17), Adults (18+)
Registration must be in their own age range with no exceptions for campers under 18 years of age. there will be exceptions made for adults per the directors discretion.
Camp activities include arts & crafts, camping nature activities, fishing, performing arts, music, horseback riding, swimming, sports and games. All buildings are air-conditioned. Medical personnel are on duty 24 hours daily. The camp staff includes personnel with experience working with the visually impaired.
Below is the 2017 Lions Leadership Application Form, it is available in two different formats, PDF which can be downloaded on your computer and then if you have an ADOBE PDF READER you can fill it out and email it directly to the Director of the program.
The second format is a Microsoft WORD document that you can download, print out, mail to the CAMP or scan and email directly to the Program director.
